Member criteria
Eligibility
A person is eligible to be member of the college if:
- the person is registered by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse/ midwife/endorsed nurse practitioner/enrolled nurse
- the person is working with neonates/neonatal education and/or neonatal research and neonatal families.
- the application for membership is complete and all details confirmed
- the person has agreed to comply with the ACNN Constitution
Categories of membership:
Full Membership
Available to RNs, midwives or NPs living in Australia and working with neonates and families, researching neonatal-related topics or teaching neonatal nursing.
Associate Membership
Available to pre-existing members (RNs, midwives or NPs) currently not living in Australia, or enrolled nurses working with neonates and families, or Australian nursing or midwifery pre-registration students*. Associate members do not have the right to vote.
Honorary Life Member
Granted to pre-existing members (RNs, midwives or NPs) under Policy 6 - Conferring honorary life membership.
