Awards are offered by ACNN and private families for a wide range of activities or in recognition of service to neonates and families.
Award nominations are accepted and assessed in the lead up to:
- International Neonatal Nurses Day (15 August) - The Clinical Neonatal Nurse Excellence Award
- The ACNN National Conference (September) - The Mark New Quiet Achiever Award
- World Prematurity Day (17 November) - The Family Appreciation Award

Clinical Neonatal Nurse Excellence Award to recognise neonatal
nurses who have made a contribution to neonatal nursing in clinical practice, education or research. Information on opening and

Mark New Quiet Achiever Award recognises a colleague who has
contributed meaningfully to neonatal research or clinical practice improvement through evidence-based practice development and engagement
in ACNN. Often these men and women are quiet achievers who might otherwise not be recognised. Information on opening and closing dates and

Family Appreciation
Award
- for families to nominate a nurse who they feel deserves to be recognised for delivering outstanding care and support to a family and
their infant while in the neonatal unit
The Daisy Foundation Awards
ACNN has become a partner of The Daisy Foundation. The Daisy Foundation was established by the family of Patrick who received skillful and
compassionate care from nurses during his hospitalisation. The Daisy Foundation has a recognition program "The DAISY
Award For Extraordinary Nurses (The DAISY Award)"
. Awards include:
